Description
The Passamezzo was a popular dance type of the Renaissance period, characterised by a ground bass – a simple repeating chord sequence – over which musicians could improvise freely.
The Circus Passamezzo is a light-hearted, twenty-first century exploration of this form, inspired by all the sights, sounds and characters found in the modern circus arena. Join us as we experience the excitement of the Big Top (including a Mexican wave), with appearances from trapeze and high wire artists, tumblers, jugglers, the world’s strongest man (and his rippling muscles!) as well as the spectacle of the Lipizzaner ponies.
