Description
The song Let It Be was released as a single by the Beatles in 1970, and was to become the title track of their twelfth and final studio album. Paul McCartney later explained that the song was inspired by a dream – experienced during a difficult period in his life – in which his mother, who had died when he was just fourteen, told him ‘it will be alright, just let it be.’
