The Teddy Bears Picnic

This classic children’s tune, written as a piano solo by the American composer John Walter Bratton in 1907, was described as a ‘Characteristic Two-Step’ on its publication. The familiar lyrics were added in 1932 by Jimmy Kennedy and the song has been recorded numerous times over the subsequent decades.

This arrangement, written for the recorder quintet Fontanella in 2019, was recorded for YouTube during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown, with the ensemble members performing individually from their own homes!
